From things to do with the kids to outdoor theatre and monthly car boot sales, there’s plenty going on at alderford. Find out what we have planned on our events list below. If you’re planning your own big event then you can hire alderford for weddings, family functions and corporate events.

Sunday 18th March 2018: Plant Hunters Fair

A fabulous way to spend a day at the start of a new growing season. Beautiful plants and plenty of ideas around.

Friday 6th April and Saturday 7th April. Outdoor Film Nights

featuring ‘The Goonies’ on Friday and ‘Predator’ on Saturday. Ticket booking info will follow.

Sunday 6th May: Car boot supporting West Midlands Air Ambulance

Gates open to sellers at 9am. Fees: Cars, 4x4s, small vans £8; Large vans £12; Trailers £3.  Gates open to buyers at 9.30am: Admission Adults £1; Children Free

Sunday 20th May: Classic Car Breakfast Meeting 

Come along and browse over these motoring beauties – along with a breakfast butty and coffee. Super relaxing Sunday morning treat.  9am till 12 noon followed by run out to Eaton Manor, near Church Stretton.  If you would like to bring your vintage or classic vehicle along, please contact Malcolm Ling on 07889 666477.  The cost is £2 per vehicle.  A fast track breakfast – a sausage or bacon roll with tea or coffee – is available at £5.

Saturday 2nd June and Sunday 3rd June – UK Kids and Ultimate Triathlons

Alderford hosts a series of triathlons over this weekend.  The UK Kids triathlon is on Saturday and the Ultimate, Half Ultimate etc on Sunday.  For further information, go to www.uktriathlon.co.uk

Sunday 10th June 2018: Car boot – Produce and plant special – supporting Whitchurch Friends of Oswestry Orthopaedic Hospital 

Gates open to sellers at 9am. Fees: Cars, 4x4s, small vans £8; Large vans £12; Trailers £3.  Gates open to buyers at 9.30am: Admission Adults £1; Children Free.  Because this car boot is a week later in the month than usual because of the triathlon, we are making it a produce special.  All car booters are welcome but food producers and plant growers especially welcome.

Saturday 30th June and Sunday 1st July

The Relay for Life will be running at Alderford again.  This is a fantastic event raising money for Cancer Research.

Friday 20th, Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd July: Festival at the Edge

The largest storytelling festival in the UK – Festival at the Edge – will be held at Alderford for the second year. Not to be missed.

Sunday 29th July: Peter Pan – outdoor theatre

The Immersion Theatre Company will be performing the magical Peter Pan. Ticket information to follow. Great family occasion.

Saturday 25th August:

The Lord Chamberlain’s Men perform The Tempest.  Gates open at 6pm, performance begins at 7pm.  Tickets: In advance, Adults £14; Children £9. On the night, Adults £16.50; Children £11.
