1. Alderford’s Santa Island Experience

Create special family memories with our magical Santa Island Experience.

Your experience begins with a magical boat journey across the lake to seek out the island where you’ll find Santa’s Grotto and all his elves.

The family of elves will welcome you in from the cold to make delicious gooey smores over their toasty campfire. Whilst you enjoy your smores, the elves’ cozy tipi will await where you will all gather to hear their captivating story of their adventures.

Walking through the magical islands you will discover the elves’ toy factory and here the children will make a special gift for their chosen loved one to open on Christmas Day! But don’t worry, the elves have a secret magical spell so the adults will forget all about this part once the gift has been placed under the tree at home! You’ll be busy helping the elves with crazy tasks while the adults watch on from the island elf bar enjoying a warm glass of mulled wine! Once the presents have all been made and the wine all gone, everyone must make their way over to the wishing bridge to make their wish before seeking out Santa’s Grotto, where Santa Claus himself will be waiting to hear your Christmas wish.

2. Lights in the Woods

Come to Alderford to experience the magical Christmas lights trail! The colourful lights weave through the woods making it a magical event for everyone to enjoy.

As darkness falls, the woods will come alive with an amazing display of glowing lights, take your time and wander through the woods with family and friends, making Christmas memories to last forever.

The spectacular display of lights includes festive sounds to make the experience as immersive and unforgettable for your family this Christmas.

With each session lasting about 30 minutes, it gives everyone plenty of time to enjoy the breath-taking display. Everyone must arrive at their allocated time slot with the first entry at; 4pm -last entry at 8:30, giving you a wide range of time slots to choose from.

Alderford is a place for everyone and our light trail is definitely suitable for groups big or small. Open from the 24th of November- 8th January we look forward to helping families make beautiful memories.

3. Our REAL Ice Skating rink

Get you skates on this Christmas at Alderford! This year Alderford are introducing a real undercover ice rink. This is the perfect place to get in the festive spirit with your family and friends.

Whether you already know how to skate, or maybe its your first time? Alderford is the place to be, with 80s Disco Night every Friday 8-10pm if you want to party on the ice, or children’s Ice Skating Disco every Sunday morning from the 11th December to make magical memories with the family.

Our REAL Ice rink is huge and if your feeling peckish after your session, we offer festive food and drinks for you to indulge in, so come along and experience the magic this Christmas in the most beautiful setting; open from the 24th November.

4. Festive Afternoon Tea

Celebrate Christmas with a festive afternoon tea at Alderford! What better experience to enjoy with the family and friends than a festive display of goodies! With fresh produce; a selection of delicious seasonal sandwiches, ,mini savouries, cakes and homemade scones.

Our Festive afternoon tea is a great excuse to sit down and relax with some delicious seasonal treats and spend time with the people you love this Christmas. You can come and enjoy our afternoon tea which is served seven days a week, 12pm-3pm, from the 19th November through to the 23rd of December.

Not to forget our prosecco deal where you can add a bottle of prosecco for £20, or perhaps you would prefer a small bottle for £5. Just a little something special to share!!
