Safety First
Your safety is our priority.
If you want to swim in open water and it’s your first time, we always recommend a coaching session. This teaches you about acclimatisation and the difference between swimming in a pool and open water swimming, (coaching details below).
Our water is tested regularly to ensure we meet the industry bathing standards, and routinely receive excellent results.

For the safety of all participants, the use of a tow float is mandatory for all swimmers regardless of swimming ability, weather conditions or activity type. All visitors must supply or hire one of these safety devices before entering the water.

At Alderford, we partner up with SW Sports Performance to offer open water coaching sessions at the lake.
