Hire a canoe
Canadian canoes are the easiest way to settle into a relaxed paddle at Alderford. They move smoothly across the lake, feel spacious on the water, and are a strong choice for families or friends who want to stay together.
They are among the most stable and driest craft on site, with room for up to three people. Each fifty-minute hire includes the canoe, paddles, and buoyancy aids for three participants.
Hire a paddleboard
Paddleboards are a brilliant way to enjoy Alderford if you want a little more movement, balance, and fun on the water. They work for solo paddlers and for groups who want a more playful lake session.
Your fifty-minute hire includes a paddleboard, paddle, and buoyancy aid, along with a short safety briefing before you set off. It is probably our wettest craft, so falling in at some point is part of the fun. Mega SUPs are also available if you want a giant board for up to eight people.
Hire a kayak
Kayaks are easy to use, surprisingly stable, and a great choice if you want a simple way to explore the lake. They suit beginners, relaxed pairs, and families looking for a little more independence on the water.
Each fifty-minute hire includes the kayak, paddle, and buoyancy aid. Single and double kayaks are both available, and the minimum age for all hire equipment is 4, although visitors should still check the current age rules on site before booking.
