At Alderford Lake, we deliver unforgettable outdoor school trips in Shropshire and the West Midlands. We offer adventure, teamwork, and confidence-building in a safe, professionally managed environment. Set in beautiful countryside, our school trips give pupils the chance to step outside the classroom, challenge themselves, and learn through hands-on experiences that build skills for life.
Whether you’re planning a reward trip, enrichment day, residential visit, or curriculum-linked school trip, our flexible programmes are designed to be engaging, inclusive, and memorable for both students and teachers.
With instructor-led activities, clear safety standards, and accommodation available on-site, Alderford Lake makes organising a school trip simple, safe, and rewarding.

A high-energy water activity designed to build confidence, coordination, and resilience. Pupils are encouraged to challenge themselves at their own pace while supporting classmates, helping to develop teamwork and self-belief in a fun, supervised environment.

Students work together to design, build, and test their own raft using barrels, ropes, and wooden poles. This activity promotes communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills while encouraging creative thinking and collaboration.

Kayaking sessions introduce pupils to controlled water movement, balance, and coordination. Instructor-led activities focus on paddling technique, spatial awareness, and teamwork, making it suitable for beginners and those developing water confidence.

Canoeing requires pupils to work in pairs or small groups, developing communication and cooperation. This calm yet engaging activity builds trust, listening skills, and an understanding of shared responsibility on the water.

Working as one team on a giant paddleboard, pupils must communicate clearly, balance together, and adapt quickly. This activity is excellent for leadership development, trust-building, and encouraging positive group dynamics.

Paddleboarding helps pupils develop balance, concentration, and confidence. With instructor guidance, students are supported to challenge themselves while learning to stay calm, focused, and resilient.

A land-based challenge where pupils solve puzzles and complete tasks under time pressure. Escape Islands develops problem-solving, logical thinking, leadership, and collaboration in a fun, inclusive setting.

An essential session focused on water safety awareness, basic life-saving skills, and understanding risk around open water. This activity links closely with PSHE outcomes and equips pupils with valuable real-world knowledge.
