Self Launch (Bring Your Own Craft)

All year round, you are welcome to bring your own craft to explore our lake in Shropshire.

How it Works

Bring your own paddleboard, kayak or canoe to the lake with a "self-launch" pass. We are open from 9am-4:30pm daily (sometimes later in the summer). You can bring your craft whenever suits in these opening hours, and stay for as long as you like (within opening hours)

Facilities

Our convenient access points and ample parking ensure that your journey from car to water is smooth and hassle-free. We also have an electric pump on site which can be used for £3. Changing rooms, toilets and showers are all within easy access of the lake.

Membership

If you are planning to frequently use the lake for self-launching, we would recommend purchasing one of our memberships. This is £6 per year and gives you 20% off each time you visit as well as a free hot drink in the winter.

If you have just bought a paddleboard or received one as a gift, you may be looking for a quick lesson to get you up on your feet (literally)

Our SUP taster session is a relaxing and fun way of try paddle boarding for the first time. You will be shown the basics and then be led straight onto the water, for a fun-filled session. All while enjoying the scenic views the lake has to offer.

Our sessions are run by the British Canoeing qualified Paddleboard Instructors, and they will join you on the lake to give you any pointers and tips you may need!
